Internal medicine mono block completed in advance
The company Chemkostav a.s., Michalovce was a contractor of construction Internal medicine mono block, which was built in the grounds of Faculty Hospital of J. A. Reiman Prešov.

Internal medicine pavilion was built from scratch. In the new six floors building, 1. and 2. Department of Medicine, Cardio Center, Cardiology, Neurology, central internal medicine intake and pharmacy, are located. There´s also one underground floor, where is the CO shelter. There is outpatient and inpatient part for each of the departments. There are 195 units of beds in total, which are located in 80 rooms. Additional beds are located in Outpatients’ Department and Dispensaries. New mono block is connected by overhead corridor to surgery, where the main diagnostic tests are done, by which the cost of transporting patients will be eliminated. Resolved is also the parking by 71 parking places, of which 8 places are reserved for the disabled.
"As the new mono bloc grew up in the neighborhood of the existing parts of the hospital, which was under construction in full operation, it was necessary to take into account the impact of noise and dust at the construction site. Negative impacts of construction were eliminated by the use of mechanisms with little noise, adherence of night silent and sprinkling in demolition work to mitigate dust. We also thought on protection of the environment, namely the rescue of four young plants (3 spruces and 1 pine), transplanting them in the new areas." informed Ing. Patrik Sabov, CEO.
Construction of the project began in 2011 in the month of April and lasted 23 months to March of this year. In addition to the construction of the mono block building itself, modification of surrounding areas, including water and sewerage infrastructure was implemented. Investor of the project was Faculty Hospital of J. A. Reiman Prešov and the total invoiced costs were 28 890 147.79 € including VAT.
