Company Chemkostav, a. s. Michalovce won the contract to implement the noise control measures on the Highway R1 near Lehota village. Beneficiary of the construction is the Národná diaľničná spoločnosť (National Motorway Company), a. s. and the term of the project execution is 12 months from the date of submission of the Site. Both parties agreed that the price for the construction work will be 1 236 421,20 € excluding VAT.
The current highway R1 in section before Nitra passes along the buildings in the village Lehota, while the nearest houses are at a distance of about 100 meters from the road. Residents of adjacent properties are as under current measurements during the day burdened with noise 63.1 db. Because the volume of traffic on a network of highways will increase in the coming years, the company Národná diaľničná spoločnosť (National Motorway Company), a.s., at the request of the municipality Lehota, stepped up to project of noise control barrier.
Noise control barrier will act as a crucial primary measure to reduce noise in the near future and will meet the noise limits for residential buildings. The wall is designed on the right shoulder of R1. The total length of the proposed noise control barrier is 1050.60 m, of which 547 m will be carried out on the ledge of the bridge.
