Basic information

The poly-functional object completes the hip of the Dunajská and Lazaretská Streets, as to the height, it links up with the buildings on the Lazaretská Street with grading in the hip, which is a contribution to saving the city-landscaping.

Its irregular layout copies the form of the land lot and consists of one underground floor, six above-the-ground floors, and a roof superstructure. In the basement, which makes use of the entire disposable area of the land lot, thefre are 35 parking lots. In combination of monolithic structure and bricked partition walls there emerged a residential complex, in which specific needs of the inhabitants have been observed.

The building foundation shall be designed in form of foundation belts under load-bearing walls and foundation footings under the pillars on the gravel layer. The foundation belts and footings are designed from monolithic water-construction ferro-concrete. Exterior surfaces are made of thin-layered silicate wall plaster Baumit as part of the warming-up system.

The external wadding brickwork in the residential part is made of brick blocks 300 mm thick (Porotherm) and the partition walls shall be made of brick and 125 mm thick (Porotherm). What is interesting and a fact at the same time is that one cannot find two identical apartments in the building. The utility and hygienic premises are not situated one above the other as is the case with other buildings, but the technical floors are offset on individual floors, so the construction modules of apartments are different (if one is entitled to speak of modules at all).

In his way there emerges a peculiar layout "puzzle", which, however, works well as a whole and due to its versatility creates a whole number of surprisingly pleasant premises. The dominant and, at the same time, height ending of the building, is making use of the roof space for an apartment, which is designed in glass walls, which helps create an impressive view on the city of Bratislava. Cultivated milieu is confirmed by using live greens in the building atrium and on the roof terraces.
