Basic information

A two-floor brickwork building partially with cellars (boiler-room) and a terrace roof is situated in the area of the Dukla military barracks. Accommodation is in a cell-system, with 4, 3 and 2 accommodated in a cell.

The object is a heritage preservation building, this is why its architecture basically has not changed, just the contrary, the endeavour was to attribute to it a more original appearance, this being done by choosing a colour of the façade, which appeared under the currently existing plaster and by the overall treatment and renewal of facades. The existing building was constructed in the traditional brickwork technology.

Reconstruction rested chiefly in constructing an additional space behind the doors and shoes washing device, demolishing the existing partition walls, stage floor and an inclined floor of the cinema showroom, the increased floor of the projecting room, and the construction of new partition walls according to the new layout design. Circumferential and load-bearing walls are bricked of full, annealed bricks. Internal staircase is two-armed with concrete degrees.
